On Thursday, June 28, leaders of remote teams met via Zoom video conference to assess and develop their remote leadership skills in three core areas: intention, trust, and communication. Attendees were from distributed companies FlexJobs, DataStax, Student Loan Hero, and Rebel + Connect.
The workshop was the first in the Leadplaceless remote leadership series, an intensive training program designed to help new managers of remote teams address the unique challenges of leading distributed teams.
Through discussions, case study analyses, collaborative activities, and assessments, participants recognized the skills, behaviors, and attitudes of remote leaders, identified their own strengths and weaknesses, and created a plan to further develop their skills.
The next workshop in the series will be on Thursday, July 26, from 3 to 5 pm EDT. Any leader of a distributed team is welcome to attend, regardless of whether or not they attended the first workshop. For more information, visit www.workplaceless.com/p/leadplaceless
