With the shift to remote work, more and more time is being spent in virtual meetings—and the truth is, those meetings are often unnecessary, draining, or even disruptive to productivity and workflow.
In this workshop, members of distributed or hybrid teams will assess their use of sync, async and blended collaborations. As a group, we’ll practice async prework and postwork, and identify tools, strategies and tactics for productive and engaging sync meetings. From this conversation, individuals and teams will commit to behavior changes, and the Workplaceless team will share recommendations for next steps.

Preventing Isolation and Burnout
Isolation and burnout are two of the most common challenges in remote and hybrid teams.
In this workshop, members of distributed or hybrid teams will share concerns and recognize signs of isolation and burnout in virtual teams. As a group, we’ll identify strategies and tactics for how to mitigate these risks, and discuss what is needed from colleagues and leaders to manage isolation and burnout. From this conversation, individuals and teams will commit to behavior changes, and the Workplaceless team will share recommendations for next steps.

Cultivating Trust and Connection
This workshop is for distributed, remote, or hybrid teams who want to cultivate a positive remote work culture. Ideal as an introduction to best practices in remote and hybrid leadership and work environments, this interactive session presents the keys needed to establish the foundation for cultivating a successful remote work culture across distance: building trust, setting expectations for communication, and establishing intentional management practices.

- Psychological Safety: contribute to a culture that allows risk-taking by accepting and respecting team members

Strengthening Distributed Relationships
Strengthening relationships can decrease isolation and increase trust and transparency on remote and hybrid teams. In this workshop, teams will practice self-disclosure and active listening, and use affirmations and coaching language to deepen interpersonal relationships at work. Finally, informational conversations will help employees increase connections across their organization and professional communities, deepening relationships and broadening networks.

Building a Communication Charter
Remote and hybrid work requires explicit documentation of synchronous and asynchronous communication norms. Effective teams use a communication charter, or an agreement about communication norms.
As a group, we’ll determine channels to prioritize, frequency of communication, general expectations, and examples specific to your team. From this conversation, individuals and teams will commit to completing and implementing the charter, and the Workplaceless team will share recommendations for next steps.

Introduction to Effective Remote Work
Effective remote work habits are critical for productive and engaged distributed and hybrid teams.
As a group, we’ll determine strategies for immediately improving two competency areas critical to remote work success: focus and communication. Individuals and teams will identify plans for leveling up to sustainable remote and hybrid work, and the Workplaceless team will share recommendations for next steps.

Typical workshop formats
Length
All remote team workshops are typically two hours with a 10-minute break at the halfway point.
Workshops can be combined to create longer learning experiences or retreats.
Delivery
Workshops are highly interactive sessions with your team members, guided by an expert Workplaceless facilitator.
Each workshop is delivered virtually with asynchronous prework completed by each attendee in advance.
Capacity
We require a minimum of 10 attendees and can hold workshops for up to 40 people.
For larger events, additional remote team workshops can be purchased.
